Photography, for me, has always been about expressing my reality through the lens. I grew up on a ranch in Wyoming, working, playing and living the life of a western girl. My family has deep roots in Sheridan, Wyoming, a town where the west is still very much alive. My grandfather was a photographer and I’ve always been fascinated with sharing the scenery that is only truly experienced in our part of the world. Ansel Adams said it best when he said “You don’t take a photograph, you make it.”
Photography has always been my passion and my outlet to share the reality that I grew up in and live every day. I’m Diana Volk, Western photographer with deep roots in cowboy culture and the true west.
